QL Security Wins the Most Disruptive Brand Award

We are pleased to share that QL Security has won the Most Disruptive Brand Award at the recent Branded Retreat event, run by Big Business Events. Our co-founder and managing director, Jason Holloway, collected it on behalf of the team. We are proud of the recognition this brings and we want to be clear about what we think it rewards.
Disruption, for us, is not a tone of voice or a clever campaign. It is how we have chosen to deliver our AI Security services. The market most organisations meet is fragmented: consultancies write recommendations, vendors sell products and the buyer is left to piece the two together. For a field where threats shift month to month and frameworks are still settling, that gap is expensive. It costs time and it leaves boards and teams with advice they cannot yet act on.
What we mean by disruptive
We built QL Security to remove that gap. Advisory, technical implementation and managed services sit with one partner, so an assessment leads directly to working controls and to the evidence auditors ask for. The same relationship that identifies your AI Security risks also fixes them and keeps watch afterwards. That is a deliberate break from the way AI Security is usually delivered and it’s the thinking we believe the award reflects.
Why it matters to the organisations we work with
Recognition is useful because trust is hard to earn in a young discipline. A buyer weighing up an AI Security partner has little track record to go on, so independent signals carry weight. An award is one such signal, and we are glad to have it.
It is not the measure that matters most to us. The real test is whether a client can stand in front of their board, their regulator or a customer’s procurement team and demonstrate their AI Security rather than merely describe it. That is the outcome that our clients are judged on, and therefore, how we judge ourselves on our service delivery too.
Our thanks go to the team at Big Business Events and to everyone at the Branded Retreat event.
Common questions about the award
How does winning a brand award change QL Security’s priorities?
The award is encouraging and it confirms that our integrated model stands out. Our priorities stay the same: helping clients move from identified gaps to working controls and audit-ready evidence. Recognition is a by-product of doing that well, not a goal we steer towards.
Why is winning an award important?
It demonstrates that our approach to the market resonated with the judges in the same way it does with mid-sized and enterprise-class organisations in the UK, including NHS trusts, local authorities and professional services firms. Indeed, it speaks to any organisation that needs to implement and demonstrate working AI Security but lacks the in-house capacity to assemble it from separate advisers, vendors and operators. One partner covering all three roles suits teams who value accountability over a multi-supplier build.
What next for QL Security?
Watch this space. As well as focusing on delivering award-winning AI Security services to our customers, we’re looking to help spread awareness of the importance of managing AI risk properly. We aim to do so through media engagements, as well as webinars, seminars and other public speaking engagements.
