John Airey brings two decades of IT and cyber security experience to QL Security, with a career focused on helping organisations get real, measurable value from their security investment. As Co-Founder and Commercial Director, he leads client relationships, commercial strategy and the partnerships that extend QL Security’s delivery.
Before QL Security, John was Business Unit Director at Bridgeway Security Solutions and then Commercial Director at Conosco, where he worked alongside co-founder Jason Holloway for the second time. That shared history, and a track record of building and running security businesses together, is the foundation QL Security is built on.
His particular strength is turning technical security risk into language that business leaders act on. Where security conversations often stall on jargon or scare tactics, John keeps the focus on outcomes, practical impact and the real cost of weak governance. He understands both the technical realities and the commercial pressures, and that combination shapes how QL Security positions and delivers every engagement.
